HEINRICH BOBST & JÜRGEN WOLFF
We are pleased to present works by these two artists for the first time and cordially invite you to the vernissage in the presence of the artists.
Open house on 19 June 2021 from 3 to 6 pm
Exhibition until 31.07.2021
The works of Heinrich Bobst (1946) show the span between the lightness of appearance and the intensity of being. The always subjective perception of reality makes his objects appear in different spectral colours and shapes depending on the point of view. The colour changes with the angle of the gaze, yet the light at different times of the day and seasons also influence the appearance. This results in neither a correct nor wrong perception of reality or truth. What is right, real or true is left to the viewer. And not only to his point of view, but also to the moment.
"Masterfully at home in the field of redundancy and information, Jürgen Wolff brings countless variations of his algorithm-based kites into the artistic discussion. This calls for the revival of information-theoretical insights into the aesthetics of exact methods", is how Eugen Gomringer (founder of the concrete poesy) describes the artworks currently on view at the Galerie La Ligne in the form of drawin
